ACE Response Cloning

ACE can answer over 160+ leasing and resident questions. Each of ACE’s responses can be customized to control how ACE interacts with your rental prospects whether it be by voice, chat or text. It’s common for a portfolio of properties to use the same ACE responses from one community to another. Cloning allows you to select specific leasing and resident question responses to duplicate at one property and apply them to one or more properties.

Note:  Only customized or completed responses can be cloned. Incomplete and locked responses cannot be cloned. Responses cannot be customized during cloning. Please complete all responses you want to utilize before starting the cloning process.

How to Clone ACE Responses

Step 1: Log in

Log in to the LeaseHawk Admin Center: https://admin.leasehawk.com/.

If you do not have permissions to access the LeaseHawk Admin Center, please contact your LeaseHawk Client Success Manager or email support@leasehawk.com to request access.

Step 2: Choose the site to clone

Select the primary site you would like to clone. To do this, click on the dropdown in the top-left corner and click on the site. Ensure each of the responses in this site are applicable to the sites you will be cloning to.

You must select a site that has all responses that you plan to clone completed.  Any questions not completed will not be cloned. If you are cloning all questions in one Tags category, you can check the completion status by looking at the green progress bar located next to the Tags dropdown. If your responses are completed, you will see a full green bar that reads 100%, like what is shown in the screenshot below. You can also check the Status dropdown to check for incomplete responses.

Step 3: Initiate cloning

Next, click on the Leasing Questions or Resident Questions dashboard.

In the upper right corner, select the three ellipsis and choose Clone Site Data.

A new menu will open called Clone Site Data.

In this menu, click the ‘Sites’ dropdown to select one or more sites to apply the cloned responses to. You may also ‘Select all.’ Don’t worry if you select a site by mistake, simply click again to deselect.

Step 4: Choose responses to clone

Next, choose the Leasing Question and Resident Question responses you want to clone. The responses you are cloning must be applicable to the sites you are adding them to. You may choose one or multiple sites to clone to. The cloned responses will override any responses previously completed in the recipient site.

You have two options:

Option 1: Search by Leasing or Resident Question Keyword

(Tip: Use this option when you are looking for a specific question)

  1. Use the Tags dropdown to ensure All tags are selected.
  1. Type the keyword in the search box and all associated questions will show.
  1. Choose Select All or select the checkbox in front of each question(s) you want to clone. If a checkbox does not appear, this indicates that the response has not been completed and is set to the default answer (most default answers are, “Sorry, I don’t have information”).

Option 2: Search by tags

  1. Use the Tags dropdown to click Unselect All to ensure no tags are initially selected.

  1. Next, choose the individual Tag(s) you want to work with. You may choose multiple Tags.

  1. Choose Select All or select the checkbox in front of each question(s) you want to clone. If a checkbox does not appear, this indicates that the response has not been completed and is set to the default answer (most default answers are, “Sorry, I don’t have information”).

Step 5: Publish cloned responses

Once you have selected the questions you'd like to clone, follow the final steps below.

  1. Click Clone Selected, located near the top under the Clone Site Data menu.

  1. Review your cloning selections in the pop-up confirmation box. These changes cannot be undone once you publish. If you see an unwanted selection, click Cancel and make your corrections.

  1. If everything is correct, click Publish.
