Adding Contacts in the CRM

A step-by-step guide on adding a new contact into the CRM

To manually add a contact, start out by clicking the menu bar and then add contact.

From the add contact screen, enter the name of the person. Select the blue 'unknown' link next to Com Preference to change to either email, phone or text if you happen to know how your contact prefers to be communicated with.

The 'Lead' link next to Relationship allows you to assign the contact to either prospect, applicant, resident, vendor or other.

The 'Select' link next to Comm Type gives you three options regarding how you first came into contact.

Then, the link next to Ad Source allows you to choose and associate how the contact heard about you.

Now that we've established the details above, let's input our contact information. Both phone number number and email are recommended and it should be noted that by putting as many alternate phone numbers and email addresses into the app as possible, it could limit the duplicate contact records down the line.
